I am generalizing a standard model of prion replication to account for yeast-specific enzymes, proving things about and solving resulting the integro-PDE system, and coming up with biological predictions to be tested by our experimental collaborators.

I helped manage and execute over $60 million in basic research funds annually on behalf of the Air Force in areas of applied mathematics and computer science. I learned the business of science and found that some business problems could be as interesting as mathematical problems -- I received many awards for streamlining processes and saving thousands of "man-hours."

I completed a non-thesis masters with coursework primarily focused on statistics. I studied both frequentist and Bayesian techniques, with emphasis on statistical consulting and providing insight into real data.

I was an undergraduate student. My ScB was in pure mathematics (emphasis on algebra and analysis), but I completed a good deal of coursework in applied mathematics and computer science as well. My AB was specifically in human development (psychology, cognitive science, sociology, etc), as it applies to education. The AB also had me complete coursework in policy and policy analysis.
I like to say that I know a little about a lot and a lot about a little. I am a good communicator, learn fast, and love working on interesting and hard problems. If you need someone like that, you should email me.
